Mark Rachal has a diverse background in the telecommunications industry. Mark started their career in 1982 as a General Construction worker at Caslow Building Corporation. Mark then worked at Southwestern Bell Telephone from 1986 to 1996, where they held roles as a Customer Service Representative and Repair Technician, specializing in outside plant repairs.

In 1996, Mark joined AT&T as a Cable Splicing Technician, responsible for constructing outside plant facilities for business and residential customers. Mark later transitioned to an Outside Plant Engineer role in 2001 and continued in that position until 2014.

After leaving AT&T, Mark worked at Brower Design Services INC. as an Outside Plant Engineer from 2014 to 2015. Mark then joined Verizon as a Construction Coordinator, managing telecom construction projects until 2016. Frontier Communications acquired Verizon territories in Texas, California, and Florida in 2016, resulting in Mark being retained as a Construction Coordinator until March 2016.

Mark's next role was at Cyient in 2016, where they worked as an Outside Plant Engineer, focusing on fiber design for AT&T's Brownfield Light Gig project, MDUs, and subdivisions.

In 2017, Mark joined Kirby Consulting L.P. as an Outside Plant Engineer and remained in this role until 2023 when they started working at Pearce Services as an Outside Plant Engineer. The specific start and end dates for their current role are not provided.
