Buddy Fortner

Buddy Fortner is currently the Assistant Director of Applications/Integrations at Pearl River Resort. Buddy has a strong background in software development and customizations, with experience in overseeing SDLC projects and managing SQL Server data warehouses. Previously, Buddy worked as a Software Engineer Team Lead and UI/UX Architect at Ardent Health Services and Leidos Health. Buddy's own company, Fortner Med, LLC, provided consultancy services for creating CPOE environments and electronic order entry solutions. Buddy also has experience as a Consultant Team Lead at maxIT Healthcare LLC and as a Web/Applications Lead Architect/Engineer at Baptist Health Systems. In their early career, Buddy worked as a Senior Software Architect/Engineer at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and as a Software Developer at MCI Worldcom. Buddy holds a Master of Informatics degree from Northwestern University and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Mississippi College.
