Yuna Portnoy (Muravyeva) has a wealth of experience in software engineering. Yuna began their professional career in 1994 as a Software Engineer at Magnetek Inc, where they used assembler for real time data acquisition and processing and C for user interface and reporting. In 1995, they joined EMPaC International, Inc. as a Software Engineer, where they developed various components of the EmpView Corporate Internet Software package. In 1996, they joined Yahoo! Inc. as a Technical Yahoo!, where they were involved in Internet software development from designing server/client architecture to performance monitoring. From 2007 to 2009, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at DailyStrength.org, where they developed modular architecture to separate business logic from content and presentation. Finally, from 2014 to the present, they have been a Senior UI Engineer at Peaxy, Inc., where they have used the AngularJs framework to successfully overhaul the web based user-interface to a System Management of the Peaxy Hyperfiler. Additionally, they have done freelance work, designing and creating proof-of-concepts using PrestaBox and Magento platforms.

Yuna Portnoy (Muravyeva) began their educational journey at Kiev Art School #3, where they obtained an AA in Fine Art between 1980 and 1982. Yuna then attended Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv from 1985 to 1990, studying Molecular Physics. Finally, they attended the University of Missouri-Saint Louis from 1993 to 1995, studying CS. In addition to their formal education, Yuna has obtained several certifications, including Programming Mobile Applications for Android Handheld Systems from Coursera Verified Certificates in March 2014, Human-Computer Interaction from Coursera in July 2012, and C++ For C Programmers from Coursera.
