Satu Suontaa has a comprehensive background in communications and brand management. Satu has worked as the Head of Communications & Brand at Save the Children Finland, leading media relations and executing communications strategies. Prior to this, they served as the Communications Manager at the International Solidarity Foundation ISF, where they spearheaded the shift from print to digital communications, resulting in increased brand visibility. Satu also worked as a Fundraising Officer at the Finnish Refugee Council, focusing on digital fundraising and partnership building. Satu gained experience in public relations and media communications while serving as a Communications Manager at Procter & Gamble. Additionally, they worked as a Communication Consultant for UNICEF and as a Communication Trainer & Consultant at Scriptio Oy. Satu began their career as an intern in the Multicultural Team at the Family Federation of Finland.
Satu Suontaa has a diverse education history. From 2001 to 2018, they attended the University of Helsinki, where they pursued a Master of Arts (MA) degree. Satu'sstudies focused on Comparative Religion, Intercultural Encounters, and International Law. Later, in 2020 and 2021, they enrolled at the Management Institute of Finland MIF Oy, where they obtained a Specialist vocational qualification in Organizational Leadership. In terms of additional certifications, in July 2018, Satu obtained a certification in Crisis Communication from LinkedIn.
