Shri Hegde

Shri Hegde is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the fields of organic chemistry and drug development. As Director of R&D at Pennakem LLC since March 2010, Shri Hegde specializes in the synthesis of fine chemicals and pharmaceutical intermediates, focusing on synthetic route design and Furan chemistry. Prior to this role, Shri Hegde served as a Research Fellow at Pfizer R&D from November 1998 to February 2010, where contributions were made in medicinal chemistry and drug discovery, specifically targeting anti-inflammatory drugs and cannabinoid receptor modulators. Shri Hegde's career began at Monsanto, where from September 1984 to October 1998, work included the development of sterol and amino acid biosynthesis inhibitors and crop protection agents. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Purdue University and a post-doctorate at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
