Richard R. has extensive work experience in the water and utilities industry. Richard is currently the Director of Health & Safety at Pennon Group Plc. Previously, they held various roles at Severn Trent, including Programme Director for SHEQ Improvement, Head of Group Health, Safety, Security, and Wellbeing, Head of Group Health, Safety & Wellbeing and Totex Assurance, and Head of Capital Assurance. Richard also served as the General Manager for South Service Delivery in the Waste Water sector, General Manager for Sewerage, and Optimisation & Efficiency Manager. Richard played a significant role in disaster management as the Water Sector Lead in Guyana, where they coordinated the response to a major flood crisis. Additionally, Richard was involved in business improvement and change management, implementing electronic job management systems and leading IS-led solutions. Overall, they have a diverse range of experiences and expertise in health and safety, operations management, and efficiency optimization.

Richard R. obtained an Advanced Diploma in Health Safety and Risk Management from Oxford Brookes University in 2016. Prior to that, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Water & Environmental Management at the University of Bristol, between 2002 and 2007.
