Beau Reid has extensive experience in urbanism, place activation, and economic development within various organizations, currently serving as a Casual Academic in Urbanism at the University of Sydney and as the Place, Events & Activation Manager for Penrith City Council. Beau leads a team focused on major and community events, strategic partnerships, and the 24-hour economy, while also holding roles such as Lead Assessor for Purple Flag at the Department of Creative Industries, Tourism, Hospitality and Sport. Previous positions include significant contributions at Local Government NSW as a Policy Officer and a Night Time Economy Lead at City of Parramatta, where Beau managed economic development initiatives and strategic planning efforts. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and a Bachelor of Town Planning (Honours, Class 1) from UNSW, along with a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from The College of Law Australia and ongoing studies in event management at TAFE NSW.
