Position Description

Pensa Systems is looking for an experienced enterprise sales professional to drive sales and partner with the VP of sales to formalize process and strategy for our fast-growing company. We’re looking for an entrepreneurial self-starter who is creative, high energy, thrives on challenges and is seeking an opportunity to take their sales experience to the next level. As the Director of Sales, this person will be responsible for identifying, landing, expanding and scaling new clients, mostly in the Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) space. This individual will be in a key client-facing role, driving the sales pipeline, scaling deal sizes and driving multi-functional usage and acceptance across CPGs.

Responsibilities

  • Generating a pipeline of new business on your own, from the ground up, via hunting
  • Research target accounts and generate outreach to secure new clients
  • Dive deep in understanding their business and the potential for business alignment
  • Go high-and-wide within enterprise organizations to drive expansion opportunities within existing clients
  • Lead entire sales cycle from initial opportunity creation to finalizing opportunity
  • Collaborate with Sales VP and cross-functional senior leadership to drive sales opportunities
  • Participate in internal team meetings to collaborate with supporting ecosystem on opportunities, resolve customer issues, share best practices, and work with cross functional teams
  • Creatively solve for client business issues leveraging Pensa Systems data and insights
  • Bring feedback from client and prospect conversations to evolve Pensa Systems product and solutions

Successful Candidates Will Have:

  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals
  • Adept at discovery to identify key client pain points for which Pensa is a good solution
  • Ability to create and maintain strong prospect and client relationships
  • Ability to negotiate and close major contracts – 6 figures+
  • Enterprise sales experience, ideally SaaS or DaaS
  • Ability to manage complex sales cycles
  • Ability to work independently in a high-growth, high-energy environment
  • Very strong written and oral communication skills
  • CPG experience is a plus, though not required
