Nicole Staszak has had a diverse range of work experience, primarily focused on quality improvement and compliance. Nicole began their career in 2002 as an IRA Specialist at People Inc., where they worked until 2004. Nicole then served as a Team Leader and later as a Program Manager. In 2005, they transitioned to Cradle Beach Inc. as a Camp Counselor for a brief period. Nicole returned to People Inc. in 2007 as a Community Placement Specialist, establishing relationships with organizations to provide internships and volunteer opportunities. In 2010, they became a Quality Improvement Coordinator, conducting investigations and providing recommendations to prevent future incidents. Nicole then progressed to roles such as Quality Improvement Manager, Assistant Director of Quality Improvement, and Director of Quality Improvement, where they oversaw incident management and ensured compliance with state regulations. In 2022, they became an Associate Vice President of Quality Improvement, followed by their current position as Vice President of Quality Improvement at People Inc., leading a team in continuous improvement activities and supporting agency accreditation efforts.
Nicole Staszak holds a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree with a specialization in Non-Profit/Public/Organizational Management from Buffalo State University. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Sociology from the University at Buffalo. In addition to their degrees, Nicole has obtained several certifications, including Certified Lean Professional from the University at Buffalo in 2021, Leadership Buffalo Essentials Program in 2019, Continuous Quality Improvement from the University at Buffalo in 2018, Root Cause Analysis from LABOR RELATIONS ALTERNATIVES, INC. in 2010, and Level One Certified Investigator from LABOR RELATIONS ALTERNATIVES, INC. in 2010.
