Director of State + Local Policy, Sustainability Lead at PeopleForBikes

Ashley Seaward has a diverse work experience in the environmental and policy sectors. Ashley began their career as an intern with the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), where they supported the NEPA program by evaluating transportation projects and managing geospatial data. Following this, they worked as a Graduate Consultant for the City and County of Denver, focusing on climate strategies. Ashley then served as an Air Quality Intern at Boulder County Public Health. Most recently, Ashley has been working at PeopleForBikes, starting as a Regulatory and Policy Analyst before moving up to the role of Deputy Director of State + Local Policy and eventually becoming the Director of State + Local Policy and Sustainability Lead. In their current position, they track legislative and regulatory issues, advises government staff and stakeholders, and promotes the use of electric bicycles.

Ashley Seaward pursued their education at the University of Colorado Boulder, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Studies, Technology, Arts & Media between 2012 and 2016. Ashley furthered their academic journey at the same institution, completing a Master's degree in Environmental Policy from 2017 to 2018.
