Niels Svenstrup

Niels Svenstrup is the Senior Vice President of Chemistry, Manufacturing & Controls at PepGen. Niels has over 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including roles at Bayer Schering Pharma, Bayer HealthCare, Cydan, H. Lundbeck A/S, and The Scripps Research Institute. Niels has a broad range of expertise in drug development, from early discovery through clinical development and commercialization. Niels has played a leading role in the development and approval of several drugs, including the first FDA-approved gene therapy product.

Niels Svenstrup has a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from James Cook University, an M.Sc. in Chemistry - Cell Biology from the University of Birmingham, and a B.Sc. in Chemistry from Syddansk Universitet - University of Southern Denmark. Niels also attended Vestfyns Gymnasium for high school and Studieskolen.
