Pablo Svampa has extensive experience in the field of database engineering and administration. Pablo currently works as a Database Engineer at Percona since October 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of PostgreSQL Senior Database Engineer / DevOps at ank from May to August 2022. Before that, they worked at Medallia as a PostgreSQL Senior Database Engineer from November 2020 to April 2022, and as a PostgreSQL Database Engineer II from November 2018 to November 2020.
Pablo also has experience in Oracle Database Administration, having worked at Intraway Corp. as an Oracle Database Administrator from July 2011 to November 2018, at IBM as an Oracle Database Administrator from June 2009 to June 2011, and at Relational Solutions S.A. as an Oracle Database Administrator from August 2008 to June 2009.
Early in their career, they had a role as an Oracle Application Developer at everis from October 2007 to August 2008. Throughout their work experience, Pablo has demonstrated proficiency in various tasks such as installation, configuration, upgrading, backup and recovery policies, database tuning and performance monitoring, storage allocation, and database design and implementation.
Pablo Svampa has a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems from Universidad Kennedy, which they obtained between the years 2001 and 2004. Pablo has also completed various certifications related to Oracle Database administration. In 2007, they attended IT College and obtained a certification as an Oracle Database 10g Administrator. In the same year, they also attended ShellCode and completed a certification in Programming PL/SQL. In 2010 and 2011, Pablo attended Oracle University and obtained certifications in Oracle Database 11g Performance Tuning and Oracle Database 11g New Features for Administrators Release 2, respectively. Pablo has also obtained two additional certifications from Oracle: one as an Oracle Database 10g Administrator Certified Professional in April 2012 and another as an Oracle Database 10g Administrator Certified Associate in December 2010.
