Eric Blouin has extensive work experience in the oil and gas industry. Eric started their career at Total E&P in 1993, where they served as the Head of PVT laboratory until 1996.
In 1996, Eric joined Perenco and began working as a Production Engineer in South East Turkey. Eric then moved into various roles within Perenco, including Reservoir Engineer, Petroleum Engineering Senior, and Petroleum Engineering and Well Service Manager.
Eric's responsibilities at Perenco grew over the years, and they took on roles such as Geosciences Manager, Petroleum Engineering Team Leader, and Chief Production Engineer. Eric was in charge of the Petroleum Engineering and Well Performance department, where they managed a team of 10 and focused on production optimization and well monitoring.
Eric's expertise in production engineering led him to become the Lead Production Engineer, where they optimized existing wells and facilitated efficient development offshore Vietnam. Eric also served as the Pre-project Geosciences Manager, Geosciences Manager, and Production Manager at Perenco.
Currently, Eric holds the position of Chief Petroleum Engineer at Perenco, where they continue to utilize their vast experience and expertise in the field.
Eric Blouin earned their Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from Université Laval, which they attended from 1985 to 1989. Following this, they pursued an Engineer's degree in Petroleum Engineering from ENSPM (IFP France) during the period of 1990 to 1991.
