Paul OTTAVI has a diverse work experience starting in 2010. Paul worked as an Internship Officer in training at CMA CGM from October 2010 to December 2010. Paul then had an internship as an Officier in training at Ahlers in July 2012. From August 2013 to July 2016, Paul worked as a 2nd Engineer and DPO at BOURBON. Paul then joined Perenco in August 2017 as a Deck & Safety Supervisor until October 2018. From October 2018 to January 2021, they served as a Field Production Engineer at Perenco. Paul moved up to the position of Offshore Installation Manager at Perenco in February 2021 and has been serving in that role until now. Additionally, they took on the role of Deputy Operations Manager at Perenco in March 2023.

Paul Ottavi completed their education at ENSM, Ecole nationale supérieure maritime. Paul obtained a Master's degree in Ingénierie maritime from 2016 to 2017. Prior to that, they completed their unlimited polyvalent officer training at the same institution from 2010 to 2013. Before attending ENSM, they also completed a classe préparatoire, although the exact years are unknown. In addition to their formal education, Paul has obtained several certifications including Well Control level 4 from the International Well Control Forum in January 2020, DP (Dynamic Positioning) from The Dynamic Positioning Center of London in November 2014, and HUET (Helicopter Underwater Escape Training) from the French Aeronautical Authorities in July 2014.
