Sebastien Duc

Sebastien Duc has extensive work experience in the oil and gas industry, starting in 1996. Sebastien began their career at Elf as a Trainee Geophysicist from February 1996 to September 1996. Sebastien then joined Perenco, where they held various roles over the years. Sebastien worked as a Geophysicist from November 1996 to August 1997 and then continued as an Exploration Manager for West Africa from September 2002 to March 2008. Sebastien subsequently took on the role of Exploration Manager for Latin America from March 2008 to August 2011. Sebastien then became the Exploration Manager for Latin America and the Middle East from August 2011 to March 2015. Sebastien's next position at Perenco was as the Group Reserves Manager from March 2020 to May 2021. Sebastien then served as the Group Exploration Manager from March 2015 to September 2021, followed by the role of Group Chief Geophysicist from June 2021 to January 2022. Sebastien is currently working as the Group Geosciences Manager at Perenco, starting in January 2022.

Sebastien Duc's education history begins in 1985 when they earned their Baccalauréat C degree from Lycée Berthollet. Sebastien then attended Lycée Berthollet from 1988 to 1991 and completed "Classes préparatoires" as part of their further education. In 1991, they enrolled at École Polytechnique for a period of three years, focusing on Engineering Mathematics Physics. Following this, they attended IFP School from 1994 to 1995, where they pursued a Master's degree in Exploration Geophysics.
