Thong Hong Dang

Thong Hong Dang has a diverse work experience in the field of geology. Thong is currently employed as the Chief Operations Geologist at Perenco since August 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of Senior Operations Geologist at the same company from August 2018 to July 2022. Thong Hong Dang also worked as a Geoscience Manager at Baker Hughes, a GE company from April 2017 to July 2018, where they provided geoscience input and performed interpretation and analysis for various projects. Before that, they served as the Deputy Exploration Manager and Lead Operations Geologist at PetroVietnam Exploration Production Corporation (PVEP POC) from June 2015 to March 2017, managing operation geology in exploration, development, and production projects. Thong Hong Dang started their career as a Geologist at Perenco in December 2012, where they were involved in various geological operations and petrophysical interpretation until May 2015. Prior to that, they worked as an Operations Geologist/Wellsite Geologist at Cuu Long Joint Operating Company from August 2010 to November 2012, leading geological operations and working offshore as a wellsite geologist. Thong also gained experience as a Trainee Wellsite Geologist and Junior Operations Geologist at Truong Son Joint Operating Company from August 2007 to July 2010, and as a Mudlogging Geologist at International Logging from July 2005 to July 2007. Thong Hong Dang began their career as a Student Services staff at Cleverlearn English Center from May 2004 to June 2005.

Thong Hong Dang earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Petroleum Geology from the University of Natural Sciences in Vietnam. This education was completed from 2000 to 2004.
