Puhazhendi Kaliyappan

Puhazhendi Kaliyappan has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several industries. Puhazhendi began their career in 1989 as a Deputy Engineer at HMT Limited, where they were responsible for User Interactive Design and Machine Safety design for Machine tools. Puhazhendi then worked at Wipro GE Medical Systems for over seven years, where they served as a Senior Engineer and later as an Engineering Manager, leading the development of ultrasound and X-ray products. During their tenure, they successfully launched the world's first truly portable ultrasound scanner from India.

From 1999 to 2000, Puhazhendi served as the Global Component Engineering Manager at GE Medical Systems- GEBEL, where they built a global component engineering organization for X-ray tube engineering. Puhazhendi then joined GE Healthcare in 2000 as a Quality Leader and MBB (Six Sigma), driving Six Sigma culture and developing methodologies for software reliability.

In 2003, Puhazhendi joined Standard Chartered Bank - SCOPE International as a Senior Vice President, where they focused on service and operational excellence, improving productivity, and establishing a quality culture across the organization. Puhazhendi then served as the Senior Vice President of Technology at Blueshift, a Human Capital Management Software company.

In 2008, Puhazhendi became the Director of Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain, and GM-Engineering at Perfint Healthcare, leading product and organization compliance in multiple countries. Later, they held multiple leadership roles at Perfint Healthcare, including Director of Global Customer Support and Director of Engineering and QARA, where they focused on new product development, collaborating with research institutes and technology partners, and developing healthcare robotic and image processing platforms for interventional oncology and surgical applications.

Most recently, Puhazhendi joined ECOCHARM in 2020 as an Advisor for Technology and Product Strategy. Throughout their career, they have consistently demonstrated a strong focus on innovation, product quality, and customer support.

Puhazhendi Kaliyappan's education history is as follows:

In 1980, Puhazhendi attended Annamalai University where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics between 1980 and 1984.

From 1984 to 1987, they pursued a Bachelor of Technology degree in Automobile Engineering at Anna University. During the same period, they also studied at MIT and obtained a second Bachelor of Technology degree, this time in Automobile/Automotive Mechanics Technology/Technician.

Between 1987 and 1989, Puhazhendi enrolled in the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, where they completed a Master of Design degree in Product Design.

Lastly, in 1991, Puhazhendi briefly studied at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and earned a Certificate in Financial Management in the field of Finance and Financial Management Services.
