Maria Zaretskaia, M.D.

Maria Zaretskaia, M.D. has over 20 years of work experience in the medical field. Maria began their career in 1997 as a Junior Research Scientist at the Russian Cardiologic Scientific and Production Complex. In 1999, they moved to Indiana University School of Medicine, where they worked as a Scientist and Postdoctoral Research Scientist. In 2018, they moved to Aerie Pharmaceuticals, where they worked as a Scientist and Sr. Associate Scientist. Most recently, in 2021, they joined Perfuse Therapeutics as a Principal Scientist and Senior Scientist, Pharmacology.

Maria Zaretskaia, M.D. obtained their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU) between 1992 and 1998. Maria then went on to obtain their BFA with High Distinction from Herron School of Art + Design in 2014, with a focus on Drawing, Printmaking, Art Theirtory, and Book Arts. In March 2018, they obtained a Certified Phlebotomy Technician certification from the National Healthcareer Association (NHA).
