Tommy Bishop

Tommy Bishop has a diverse work experience in the field of learning research, design, and development. Tommy has worked as a Director of Learning Research and Design at Perlego, where they synthesized learning research into practical design guidelines and collaborated with teams to shape products for improved learner outcomes. Prior to this, they served as a Director of Learning Design and Development at Universal Technical Institute, Inc., focusing on the design and implementation of the UTI student experience. At Gradient Learning, Tommy was the Director of Learning Engineering and Design, leading the strategy and development of online curriculum and collaborating with various partners. Tommy also worked as a Manager of Learning Experience Design at CDK Global, managing a team and creating evidence-based principles for learning experience designers. In their earlier roles at Pearson, Tommy served as a Design Strategist and Learning Designer, contributing to the development of design processes and learning design principles for Pearson's global products. Tommy started their career as a Digital Design Production Specialist at PASCO Scientific, where they designed interactive science labs. Additionally, Tommy has experience as an Educator at Leonardo da Vinci K-8.

Tommy Bishop obtained their M.A.T. degree in Art Education from the University of South Carolina-Columbia, where they attended from 2005 to 2007.
