Mario Campos Cervera has a diverse work experience in the oil and gas industry. Mario is currently working at ChampionX as a Lead Sales Engineer since July 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Sales Engineer at the same company from April 2021 to August 2023.
Before joining ChampionX, Mario worked at Schlumberger from 2012 to 2020. During their time at Schlumberger, they held several senior positions. Mario was a Senior Production and Completions Engineer from September 2018 to May 2020, where they worked on a joint venture project involving planning and execution of a Field Development Plan. Mario managed a budget of CAD $27 for well completion and flowback projects.
From June 2018 to September 2018, Mario was a Senior Production Engineer and completions operations support engineer. Mario focused on achieving technical and economic objectives for the Blue Powder Project, a joint venture with SM Energy.
From August 2016 to June 2018, they served as a Production Team Leader and completions operations support engineer at the Blue Powder Project. During this time, they were also responsible for the closeout and selling process of the Eagle Ford asset.
From March 2014 to August 2016, Mario worked as a Production Engineer at a joint venture between Forest Oil Co. and Schlumberger. Mario was in charge of the production of 120 horizontal hydraulically fractured wells with different lift systems.
Furthermore, from August 2013 to March 2014, they worked as a Field Engineer at a joint venture between Petronas Carigali and Schlumberger. Mario'sresponsibilities included production surveillance, reporting, and optimization.
Mario began their career as a Field Engineer Trainee at a joint venture between Pemex and Schlumberger in October 2012. Mario supported the reactivation and development of an onshore heavy oil brown field.
Mario also gained experience as an Intern at the Instituto Mexicano del Petróleo from January 2011 to September 2012 and as a Technical Assistant at the Comisión Nacional de Hidrocarburos from January 2011 to December 2011.
Mario Campos Cervera pursued their education at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. From 2006 to 2007, they completed a Technical Career in Architectural Drafting and Architectural CAD/CADD. Following this, from 2007 to 2012, Mario obtained a degree in Petroleum Engineering with a field of study focused on Geological and Earth Sciences/Geosciences.
