Husna Grimes

Husna Grimes has a strong background in privacy and data protection law. Husna is currently the VP Global Privacy at Permutive, a position they have held since February 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Consultant at Humphreys Law from March 2019 to February 2022. Husna also has experience working as a Business Affairs Consultant at Mint & Co from May 2018 to February 2022 and as a Co-Founder at Pure Privacy Consulting from March 2018 to February 2022. Before that, they served as a Privacy/Data Protection Lawyer (Consultant) at Lawyers on Demand from March 2017 to February 2022. Husna Grimes also has experience in the media and technology industry, having worked as a Lawyer - Governance, Regulatory and Trading at Channel 4 from August 2009 to January 2017. Husna began their legal career as an Associate at Reed Smith LLP from August 2007 to August 2009 and as a Trainee Solicitor at Richards Butler from August 2005 to July 2007. In addition to their professional roles, they are a Women Leading Privacy Advisory Board Member at the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) and a Founding Member at Chief.

Husna Grimes attended the University of Warwick from 2000 to 2003 and obtained a degree in Law. Prior to that, they also attended Warminster School. In 2012, they obtained a certification in CIPP/E from the International Association of Privacy Professionals.
