Tom Carlson

Tom Carlson has a diverse work experience in the fashion industry. Tom began their career as an Assistant Buyer at Lord & Taylor, where they gained experience in the retail sector. Tom then moved on to Liz Claiborne, where they worked as a Business Planner and later as a Sr. Marketing Analyst for DKNY Jeans.

Tom joined Calvin Klein Jeans as the Director of Sales, where they managed the P&L for warehouse club, off-price, and specialty store accounts. Tom also oversaw the product development and production process for special products in the men's division. Additionally, they briefly served as the Acting Vice President for the Juniors division, managing AE's and planners and working closely with design and merchandising.

Tom gained further experience as a National Sales Manager at Adidas, leading a sales force and selling apparel, footwear, and accessories to premier specialty stores and department stores. Tom also developed a product merchandising calendar to align with industry standards.

Following their time at Adidas, Tom worked as an Independent Sales Director and Consultant, managing sales for various clients including Adidas Sportstyle. Tom was responsible for expanding existing business and launching new brands.

Tom later joined the Adidas Group, where they held several roles. Tom started as a Senior Sales Manager for the Fashion Group, successfully developing business for Porsche Design Sport by Adidas and a new brand, SLVR. Tom then transitioned to the role of Head of Merchandising, Planning, Operations, and Logistics for the Adidas Fashion Group NA, overseeing regional turnover targets, range selection, and implementing overall strategies for wholesale and own retail businesses in North and Latin America.

Currently, Tom works as the VP of Sales for Nike Swim at Perry Ellis International. Their role involves leading the sales team and driving business growth for the Nike Swim brand.

Tom Carlson received a BA in History & Psychology from the University at Albany, SUNY from 1990 to 1993.
