Vania Vergara has extensive work experience in the IT industry. Vania has held various roles in different companies, starting with their current position as a Support Team Lead at Personetics since 2023. Prior to that, they worked at IBM as a Site Reliability Engineer, leading a team to transform financial legacy systems. Vania also worked at Red Hat as a Technical Account Manager, where they managed technical aspects and resolved issues for customers. Vania has experience as an Especialista de Suporte Websphere Z/OS at Embratel and as a Consultor Especialista de Sistemas at BRQ IT Services. Additionally, Vania worked as a Websphere Administrator at Core Synesis Ltda, System Architect at Cyberlynxx, and Senior System Analyst at Quality Software. Vania started their career at Banco Central do Brasil as a Senior System Analyst, responsible for JBoss server administration and later transitioning into system development. Vania also worked as a Senior Support Analyst at BNDES, where they managed JBoss server administration and quality assurance of development projects.

Vania Vergara has an extensive education history. Vania obtained a Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) degree from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro from 1985 to 1992. Vania then pursued an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Computer Systems Analysis/Analyst from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro from 1997 to 1999.

In 2005 to 2007, Vania returned to Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro to complete a latus senso degree in Computer Software Engineering. From 2011 to 2012, they attended Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro again, this time to pursue a latus senso degree in Internet Services Expert.

Additionally, Vania has taken some technical certifications. Vania obtained the Red Hat® Certified Specialist in OpenShift Application Development certification from Red Hat in June 2022, along with the 2022 Red Hat® Giveback Program Blue Star. Vania also completed various online courses offered by LinkedIn, such as Communicating with Empathy, Using Questions to Foster Critical Thinking and Curiosity, Building Trust, Customer Service Foundations, Introducing Maven, Kafka Essential Training, Kubernetes: Cloud Native Ecosystem, Kubernetes: Microservices, Learning Kubernetes, Docker Essential Training: 3 Image Creation, Management, and Registry, Kubernetes: Monitoring with Prometheus, Java Memory Management, Web Security: OAuth and OpenID Connect, and Learning Docker. Moreover, they obtained the Red Hat® Certified Specialist in Messaging Administration certification in March 2020 and the Red Hat® Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration certification in August 2019. Lastly, they completed the Red Hat Enterprise Server Administration course in February 2019.
