The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Analyst to join our Commercial and Planning Team. This role offers broad exposure across three sub-functions: Commercial Decision Support, FP&A, and Investor Relations. As you grow your knowledge of the business, you’ll have the chance to specialise and advance in your chosen sub-function.

Your Responsibilities

• Update and maintain operational and company data visualisation dashboards, and prepare ongoing functional reports.
• Take ownership of  the company Financial Operating Model, including; Actualizing for  results, Performing scenario and sensitivity analysis to understand the key drivers impacting the business, Overlaying company plans and e-forecasting the company trajectory.
• Manage functional spend against budget and re-forecast expenditures as needed.
• Partner with various business functions to understand data requirements and improve business reporting.
• Collaborate with Senior Commercial Analysts to provide decision support to key stakeholders using data and analytical tools.
• Support development of all communication materials outlining the Pet Circle strategic, operational and financial narrative to the Board and investors
• Conduct or leverage analysis on industry, market, and company trends for use in commercial decisions and communications.

Your Ideal Skills and Experience

• Experience in business partnering and working in a cross-functional team environment.
• Strong skills in MS Excel and PowerPoint (or Google Office equivalents).
• A self-starter who is results-oriented, decisive, and resilient, with the ability to respond and adapt to an agile environment.
• Excellent analytical skills with a high attention to detail.
• Experienced in financial modelling with an ability to research and analyse complex issues
• Tertiary qualification with 1-2 years of relevant experience - ideal for someone early in their career or someone looking to break into the Commercial Finance space
