Phd Student at Peter Mac

Jasmine Kay is a dedicated PhD student at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, focusing on breast cancer immunology within the Loi Lab since January 2022. Previous experience includes roles as a Research Assistant, managing the translational research program and SEGMENT study, as well as an Honours Student under the supervision of Professors Sherene Loi. Jasmine also completed a summer research placement utilizing genomic techniques and statistical analysis to study treatment responses in breast cancer patients. Additional experience includes serving as a PPE Spotter and Temperature Tester at St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne during the COVID-19 pandemic, participating in the UROP with the Turner Lab at Monash University, and tutoring Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology through the Indigenous Tutorial Assistance Scheme at the University of Melbourne. Jasmine holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy degree at the University of Melbourne.
