Cory Edmondson has been in the healthcare industry for over 20 years. Cory started their career at Midland Memorial Hospital in 2001 as Vice President of support services. In this role, Cory was responsible for overall operations and strategic planning associated with support services and creating an environment for safe and effective patient care. Cory was also responsible for areas such as facility services, real estate management, clinical engineering, dietary, environmental services, safety/security, construction, emergency management, valet, volunteers, physical/environment of care, and radiology/laboratory from 2003-2006.
In November 2014, Cory became the Senior Vice President at Midland Memorial Hospital where they were responsible for development and strategic planning associated with the health system regarding hospital operations, ambulatory, and post-acute care settings. This included initiatives such as network development, clinical and physician alignment, business intelligence/analytics, clinically integrated network and joint venture alignment. Cory also drove decision-making and created medium and long term improvements during their time in this role.
In April 2019, Cory became the President & CEO of Peterson Health. In this role, Cory is responsible for leading the organization through a period of change and growth. Cory is focused on strengthening relationships with key stakeholders, expanding access to care, and improving the overall quality of care for patients.
Cory Edmondson graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Business Administration and Management, General from Texas Tech University. They then went on to earn their Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Health/Health Care Administration/Management from William Howard Taft University. Cory Edmondson is also certified in Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification from MGMA, Fellow of Clinically Integrated Networks, American Medical Group Association from AMGA: Advancing High Performance Health, Board Certified, Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives from the American College of Healthcare Executives, and Fellow, The Advisory Board Company from The Advisory Board Company.
