Robert Tansley

After seven years working in hospital medicine, Robert joined the pharma industry in 1996 working in development and regulatory roles at Sanofi, the MHRA and Roche. Robert then joined the Cambridge-based company Arakis and worked as Medical Director until its sale to Sosei Inc. Since that acquisition and before joining CIC, he was involved in a number of start-up companies, including founding and being CEO of the malaria-focused company Treague and being founding CEO of the University of Copenhagen spin-out Avilex Pharma. In addition, he was part of the founding management team of the now NASDAQ-listed KalVista Pharmaceuticals Limited. Robert qualified in medicine from University College London. He is a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists and the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine and has an MBA from London Business School and an M.Phil in Biostatistics from the University of Cambridge.
