Richard Duffy

Richard Duffy's work experience begins in 1987 when they joined Anglo American as a Management Trainee. Richard held various roles within the company, including Director of Operations for Anglo in Zambia. In 1998, they joined AngloGold Ashanti as Company Secretary and later served in roles such as Executive Officer - Business Planning and Executive Vice President - Business Development. From 2008 to 2013, they served as the Executive Vice President - Africa Operations. In 2013, they became Group CFO for AngloGold Ashanti. In 2015, they co-founded AEMP (Africa Energy Management Platform) and served as a Co-Founder until 2023. In 2019, they became the Chief Executive Officer of Petra Diamonds.

Richard Duffy earned a Bachelor's degree in Business/Commerce, General from the University of the Witwatersrand in 1984. Richard then pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree with a focus on Finance, General at Henley Business School from 1997 to 2001.
