Rune Yttervik

Rune Yttervik is a seasoned professional in the field of marine technology and engineering, currently serving as Sjefingeniør at Petroleumstilsynet since August 2021. Prior to this role, Rune held various engineering and advisory positions at Equinor and Statoil, focusing on platform technology and integrity management of floating structures. With a long history in research and technology development dating back to the mid-1990s, Rune has worked in various capacities at notable organizations such as Norsk Hydro, MARINTEK, and the Royal Norwegian Air Force. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Marine Technology and a Master's degree in the same field from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology.
