Jessica May's work experience begins in 2012 as a Locum Veterinary Nurse for Best Friends Veterinary Group. Jessica then worked as a Veterinary Surgeon at various clinics including Millpark Veterinary Centre, Bell Equine Veterinary Clinic, and The Hong Kong Jockey Club. In 2016, they joined BAKER MCVEIGH AND CLEMENTS LIMITED as a Veterinary Surgeon, and in 2018, they co-founded Flexee and served as Director until 2023. From 2018 to 2019, they also worked as a Veterinary Surgeon at Three Counties Equine Hospital Llp. In 2019, they joined FirstVet as the UK Lead Veterinarian until 2022, during which they also served as the Global Veterinary Innovation Manager. Most recently, in 2023, they became the Customer Success Manager at PetsApp before being promoted to the role of Customer Success Team Lead.

Jessica May's education history is as follows:

Jessica attended Tudor Hall School from 2000 to 2005. Jessica then pursued their Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Veterinary Sciences at the Royal Veterinary College, University of London from 2005 to 2008. Following that, Jessica obtained a Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine (Hons) with Distinction from the Royal Veterinary College, University of London from 2008 to 2012.

In 2018, Jessica participated in the "Doing it for yourself" program at the AllBright Academy Ambassador. Additionally, they completed the "Discovering leadership for veterinary professionals" course offered by the NHS Leadership Academy and Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons in 2018.

More recently, in 2022, Jessica completed the Product Manager Nanodegree Program at Udacity. Jessica also obtained the Marine VHF Radio Licence from the Royal Yachting Association (RYA) in March 2022.

Jessica has additional certifications including a Day Skipper certification from the Royal Yachting Association (RYA) obtained in June 2021, an Official Controls Qualification (Veterinary) OCQ(V) - Essential Skills, Exports General, Ungulate Exports from the Animal and Plant Health Agency obtained in June 2016, a Professional Development Phase (PDP) certification from the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) obtained in April 2013, a BVetMed (Hons) Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of London obtained in September 2008, and a Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award from The Duke of Edinburgh's Award obtained in November 2006. Lastly, they also obtained a BSc (Hons) Veterinary Sciences degree from the University of London in September 2005.
