Sylvia Troost

Sylvia Troost is a Project Director at The Pew Charitable Trusts, where Sylvia has been since April 2010, overseeing initiatives related to climate policy, natural climate solutions, and coastal/marine conservation. Previous roles at Pew included Senior Manager of Conserving Marine Life in the United States, responsible for advancing nature-based solutions in state climate policies and managing teams and consultants. Prior to Pew, Sylvia worked as an Environmental Consultant, Program Officer at Resources Law Group managing a $30 million grant-making program, Program Director at Counterpart International focusing on coral reef conservation, and held various positions in program management related to conservation and community development in small island states. Sylvia holds an MA in International Affairs from The George Washington University and a BA in Public Policy from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
