Monica Li

Monica Li has extensive work experience in the field of neuroscience and metabolic disease. Monica served as a Senior Scientist (Project Team Lead) at Pfizer, leading multiple drug discovery programs and collaborating with various teams. Prior to Pfizer, Monica worked as an Instructor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow, focusing on neurocircuits related to appetite, obesity, metabolism, homeostasis, reward, and motivation. Monica also has experience as a Graduate Research Fellow at Arizona State University, where they worked on serotonin receptors and synaptic plasticity. Additionally, Monica worked as a Research Assistant at UCSF, specifically in the Program in Medical Ethics. Overall, Monica Li has a diverse background in scientific research and project management.

Monica Li received a Bachelor's Degree in Economics and Sociology from the University of Chicago in 2005. Monica then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biology & Neuroscience at Arizona State University from 2007 to 2012. From 2012 to 2018, Monica Li obtained a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Neuroscience & Metabolism at Harvard Medical School. In 2023, they obtained additional certifications including "Artificial Intelligence in Pharma and Biotech" from MIT Sloan School of Management, "Applied Data Science Program" from MIT Professional Education, and "Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare: Fundamentals and Applications" from MIT Professional Education.
