Markos Tzamalis

Markos Tzamalis has extensive experience in the hospitality industry, currently serving as Chief Operating Officer at PHĀEA since October 2020. Previously, Markos held the position of General Manager at Marriott International from June 2018 to October 2020, as well as at Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. from March 2014 to June 2018. Markos also acted as Director of Operations for the Mediterranean & Africa region at Grace Hotels for a brief period in 2013. Earlier roles include General Manager for two properties at Starwood Hotels, General Manager of a luxury collection resort, and Hotel Manager at SANI RESORT. Markos began in hospitality as a Bar Manager at Hilton. Educational credentials include a diploma in Hotel Management from Les Roches and completion of the General Managers Program at Cornell University, along with further education at UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School.
