Minyong Shin has a diverse work experience in the automotive industry. From 2011 to 2017, they worked at Hyundai Motor Company as a Senior Research Engineer, specializing in path planning and lateral control algorithms for automated driving systems. Minyong contributed to the development of HDA and HDA2, lane centering control systems for highway driving. In 2017, they joined Phantom AI as a Staff Control Engineer, and later became the Director of Vehicle Control. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Director of Vehicle Control & Sensor Fusion at Phantom AI, starting from June 2022.
Minyong Shin completed a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering at Seoul National University, from 1996 to 2003. Afterwards, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Aero/Astro at Stanford University from 2003 to 2005. Subsequently, they continued their studies at Stanford University and obtained a PhD in Aero/Astro from 2005 to 2010. During this time, they also completed a Master of Science degree in Financial Mathematics from 2008 to 2010 at Stanford University.
