Farhan Thawar

Farhan Thawar is the current Director at Phantom Auto. Prior to this, they served as Vice President of Engineering at Shopify for 3 years. Farhan has also been an Advisor at Ada and brightwheel for 1 year each, and at Phantom Auto for 3 years. In addition, they have been a YC Continuity Advisor at Y Combinator for 4 years and an Advisor at Ritual.co for 4 years. Farhan has also served as a Board Member at Connected and Optiva Inc. for 1 and 3 years respectively.

Farhan Thawar co-founded Helpful.com, which was acquired by Shopify. Farhan served as its CTO and was responsible for the systems/people/cultural integration between Xtreme Labs and Pivotal post acquisition. Farhan was also the Dean of Studies at Extreme Venture Partners and the Head of Search & Platform Manager for MSN at Microsoft. Currently, they are serving as the Director at Phantom Auto.

Farhan Thawar has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management, a Bachelor of Mathematics from the University of Waterloo, and a diploma from Milliken Mills High School.
