Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at PDMI

Samuel Angelo has extensive work experience in the field of technology and cyber security. Samuel is currently serving as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Pharmacy Data Management, Inc. (PDMI), where they are responsible for all aspects of cyber security, including SOC 1 type II, SOC 2 Type II, HIPAA compliance, and annual security awareness programs. Prior to this role, they held the position of Director of Information Technology (CIO/CISO) at Nemacolin, where they oversaw all aspects of technology and cyber security, including providing support for ABC television’s season 25 of “The Bachelor”.

Before joining Nemacolin, Samuel worked at DICK'S Sporting Goods as the Director of Technology Engineering and Architecture Services, focusing on technology engineering, architecture, security, operations, and support. Samuel has also worked at West Penn Allegheny Health System, where they served as the Director of IT - Network Engineering and Telecommunications, responsible for the operation and security of the enterprise LAN/WAN/Wireless and telecommunications for a large health system.

Earlier in their career, Samuel held positions such as Information Security Manager at the University of Pittsburgh, Assistant Vice President of Network Engineering and Information Security at ServiceLink/FIDELITY NATIONAL FINANCIAL, and Senior Network Engineer at ServiceLink/FIDELITY NATIONAL FINANCIAL. Samuel has also worked as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Pittsburgh Katz Graduate School of Business and Point Park University.

Samuel’s career began as a UNIX System Administrator at AT&T (BELLSOUTH). Throughout their career, they have gained expertise in areas such as network engineering, telecommunications, information security, and UNIX/Network engineering.

Samuel Angelo's education history includes a Master of Science (MS-MIS) degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Pittsburgh Katz Graduate School of Business. Samuel also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Management and Finance from Clemson University. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from the University of Pittsburgh, where they pursued a dual major in Business and Communications.

In addition, Samuel Angelo has obtained various certifications throughout their career. These include the Information Systems Security Management Professional (CISSP-ISSMP) certification from (ISC)², the Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) certification from (ISC)², the Certified In Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) certification from ISACA, the Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM) certification from the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), and the Certified Ethereum Professional (CEP) certification from the CryptoCurrency Certification Consortium (C4). Samuel has also earned the Certified Identity Management Professional (CIMP) certification from the Identity Management Institute and the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS). Furthermore, Samuel holds the Certified Bitcoin Professional (CBP) certification from the CryptoCurrency Certification Consortium (C4) and the Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE) certification from ISACA.

Earlier in their career, Samuel Angelo achieved the ISACA CISA - Certified Information Systems Auditor certification in 2008 and the ISACA CISM - Certified Information Security Manager certification in 2007. In 2004, they obtained the ISC2 CISSP - Certified Information Systems Security Professional certification. Additionally, Samuel has the ITIL® Foundation certificate in IT Service Management from AXELOS Global Best Practice. Samuel also holds the NSA IAM - Certified NSA INFOSEC Assurance Methodology certification and the NSA IEM - Certified NSA INFOSEC Evaluation Methodology certification from the National Security Agency. Moreover, they have the SCNA - Sun Certified Network Administrator, Solaris 9 certification, the SCSA - Sun Certified System Administrator, Solaris 9 certification, and the SCSecA - Sun Certified Security Administrator, Solaris 9 certification from Sun Microsystems.
