Maryam Balogun

Maryam Balogun has a diverse range of work experience. Maryam began their career as a Nursery Assistant at Lewisham Opportunity Play Group in June 2012. In July 2013, they worked as a Pharmacy Assistant at Whinchat Pharmacy, where their responsibilities included providing prescriptions to customers and replenishing stock.

In 2016, Maryam became a Research Assistant Microbiologist at the University of Nottingham, where they conducted a Summer Vacation Studentship project investigating how mutations in two component systems of Pseudomonas aeruginosa affected its motility and attachment to polymers.

From September 2017 to March 2020, Maryam worked at UCL as a Clinical Research Assistant, supporting various clinical trials. Maryam then transitioned to the role of Clinical Trial Manager, leading a phase III non-CTIMP stroke clinical trial called OPTIMAS. Maryam'sresponsibilities included managing multiple trial sites, establishing and maintaining management systems, acting as the central Trials Unit contact, and working closely with the Chief Investigator and IT staff.

Most recently, in August 2022, Maryam joined PHARMExcel as a Clinical Study/Project Manager I. Further details about their role at this company are not provided.

Maryam Balogun attended Colfe's School from 2002 to 2012, where they completed their GCSE. Following that, they studied at Townley Grammar School for Girls from 2012 to 2014, where they obtained their A Level in Biology, Chemistry, and Geography. Maryam then pursued their Bachelor of Science (BS with Honours) in Biochemistry and Genetics from the University of Nottingham from 2014 to 2017.
