Kelly Pierce

Kelly Pierce has an extensive background in data science and research. Kelly is currently the Principal Data Scientist at The Public Health Company. Prior to this, they worked as a Research Associate at the Texas Advanced Computing Center (TACC) for four years. Kelly has also worked as a Data Scientist at Counsyl and as a Fellow at Insight Health Data Science. Kelly has experience as a Research Engineering/Scientist Assistant at The University of Texas at Austin and as an Endeavour Research Fellow at Flinders University. Kelly has also held positions as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Colorado State University and as a Graduate Research & Teaching Assistant at The University of Texas at Austin. Additionally, they have previously worked as an Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratory Training Fellow at APHL - Association of Public Health Laboratories and as a Molecular Pathology Laboratory Technician II at Boyce and Bynum Pathology Laboratories.

Kelly Pierce completed their Bachelor's Degree in Biology and Psychology at Truman State University from 2002 to 2006. Kelly then went on to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Ecology, Evolution, and Behavior at The University of Texas at Austin, graduating in 2014.
