Lamiah Adamjee, MScPH

Lamiah Adamjee, MScPH, has a diverse range of work experience in the field of public health. Lamiah is currently working at The Public Health Company as an Epidemiologist and Data Engineering Team Lead, a role they started in February 2023. Prior to this, Lamiah was a Public Health Analyst at the same company, starting in June 2022.

Before joining The Public Health Company, Lamiah worked at the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health as an Epidemiologist from May 2022 to June 2022. Prior to that, they held the position of Epidemiology Analyst from September 2021 to May 2022.

Lamiah's earlier experience includes working as a Research Assistant at the Centre of Excellence for Women's Health from September 2020 to September 2021. Lamiah also served as an Editorial Board Member at the McGill Journal of Global Health from October 2019 to September 2021.

During their time at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, Lamiah worked as a Graduate Student Researcher, collaborating with the Gender Violence and Health Centre. Lamiah completed their MScPH practicum, which involved various projects such as a qualitative analysis of a sport for development program in India, social network analysis on child marriage in Cameroon, and a literature review on the ethics of family planning interventions.

Before pursuing their MScPH, Lamiah served as a Research and Development Assistant at UBC Health- Patient and Community Voices in Health Professional Education from September 2017 to May 2020. Lamiah also worked as a Research Student at BC Children's Hospital in Vancouver from January 2017 to May 2020.

Other positions held by Lamiah include Project Assistant at the Neglected Global Disease Initiative from January 2019 to October 2019, Research Assistant at Arthritis Research Canada from January 2019 to September 2019, and Research Assistant at Sports Cardiology BC from June 2016 to September 2019.

Lamiah Adamjee, MScPH, obtained their Master's of Science degree in Public Health from McGill University, where they studied from 2019 to 2021. Prior to that, they earned their Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from The University of British Columbia, a program in which they were enrolled from 2014 to 2019. Lamiah also holds a High School Diploma from Riverside High School, although the exact dates of their attendance are unknown.
