Kate Green has worked in the art industry for over 18 years. Kate began their career in 2002 as a Curatorial Assistant at MoMA / P.S. 1. In 2003, they became the Curator of Education and Exhibitions at Artpace San Antonio. In 2007, they took on the role of Visiting Instructor at Trinity University. From 2009 to 2016, they served as a Lecturer in Art History at the University of Texas at Austin. In 2017, they were the Guest Director at Marfa Contemporary. From 2018 to 2020, they were the Senior Curator and Curator at El Paso Museum of Art. In 2022, they were the Interim Director of Curatorial Affairs at Oklahoma Contemporary. Most recently, in 2023, they became the Chief Curator & Nancy E. Meinig Curator of Modern & Contemporary Art at Philbrook Museum of Art.
Kate Green attended Bard College from 2001 to 2003, where they studied at the Center for Curatorial Studies. Kate then went on to The University of Texas at Austin, where they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Modern and Contemporary Art History.
