Thierry D. Wittwer

Thierry D. Wittwer serves as Vice President and Associate General Counsel for Innovation and Commercial Deployment at Philip Morris International, where responsibilities include providing strategic legal support for product development and deployment across a global team. Previous roles include Assistant General Counsel for Marketing & Deployment, where Thierry led a team addressing legal compliance for marketing campaigns, and Assistant General Counsel for Reduced Risk Products, focusing on US regulatory applications which led to the successful authorization of the IQOS product. Thierry also contributed legal expertise in various regional roles, including Russia & Kazakhstan and EEMA, achieving recognition for the legal department in 2014. Prior experience includes serving as Associate at Python & Peter and trainee positions at the First Instance Court and Baker & McKenzie. Educational qualifications include an LL.M (cum laude) in European Law from the University of Lausanne and a certification in Communications Leadership from Thunderbird School of Global Management.
