Lead Network Engineer at Phoenix Defense

Carl Davis has over 25 years of work experience in various roles and companies. Carl started their career in 1995 at Raytheon Technical Services Company as a Senior Software Engineer, where they designed and coded software interfaces and user interfaces for hardware control. From 2004 to 2007, they worked at General Dynamics as a Systems Engineer. Carl then joined Raytheon in 2007, initially as a Software Engineering Manager, where they planned and executed engineering projects. In 2015, they transitioned to the role of IA/Cyber Security Manager, responsible for security design and implementation, FISMA audits, and maintaining ATOs. In 2020, they joined Phoenix Logistics, Inc. as a Lead Network Engineer. Throughout their career, Carl has acquired certifications in CISSP, CCNA Security, and GPEN.

Carl Davis completed their education in Computer Science at American Sentinel College from 2005 to 2009, earning a Master of Science (MS) degree. Prior to that, they attended Park University from 1995 to 1999, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer and Information Sciences and Support Services.

In addition to their academic achievements, Carl Davis holds several certifications. Carl obtained the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from (ISC)² in March 2012. Furthermore, they earned the GIAC Penetration Tester (GPEN) certification from GIAC Certifications in February 2015.
