David MacKie

David, a Sheriff in Scotland for 18 years until retirement in 2019 and in this position regularly encountered individuals and families whose lives were affected by addiction.

He has many years of experience supporting charities in Scotland in a variety of roles. He has been actively involved with the Venture Trust and Chance for Change, for many years Chaired the Edinburgh Branch of SASO (Scottish Association for the Study of Offenders), and is currently working with Families Outside and Howard League Scotland. David is Chair of the Phoenix Scotland Board.
