Shabnam Akhtar

Shabnam Akhtar possesses extensive experience in the field of mental health and community support, currently working at NHS in multisystemic therapy since September 2018 and as a Case Manager for PACT Inc. since November 2017. In the role at PACT, Shabnam develops referral pathways for families and offenders to access critical support services, ensuring respectful treatment and assistance in successful community reintegration. Additionally, Shabnam has experience as a Recovery Worker at Turning Point and an Intervention Facilitator at Phoenix Futures, providing therapeutic support and managing treatment plans for service users with substance misuse issues, as well as delivering interventions to prisoners. Previous experience includes working as a Mental Health Support Worker at Alpha Hospitals Ltd, directly engaging with patients to provide high-quality care. Shabnam holds a Master's degree in Forensic Psychology from the University of Central Lancashire and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Bradford.
