Josh Bartelstein

Josh Bartelstein serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the Phoenix Suns and Mercury since April 2023, bringing extensive experience in sports management. Previously, Bartelstein held roles with the Detroit Pistons as Assistant General Manager and Executive Vice President of Operations, and Chief of Staff from July 2020 to May 2023. Prior experience includes Vice President of Strategy and Chief of Staff at Palace Sports & Entertainment from September 2015 to July 2020, and a Leasing Associate position at General Growth Properties. Additionally, Bartelstein has experience as a motivational speaker focused on building winning cultures and was an author and blogger for the University of Michigan's Marketing Department. Bartelstein earned degrees in Kinesiology and Sport Management from the University of Michigan, where also served as captain of the basketball team. Educational background includes Highland Park High School and Phillips Exeter Academy.
