Lara Balais

Lara Balais is a professional independent photographer based in Guadeloupe, with a degree in Fine Arts in Photography from Bloo - Ecole de Photographie et d'Image Contemporaine. Since September 2016, Lara has worked in various roles including as a project manager for the 9ph festival and as a photographer for the Parc National de la Guadeloupe. Lara's work focuses on environmental and cultural issues, intertwining documentary photography with anthropological inquiries. Notable exhibitions include "La Grande Aventure" in 2022 and "Surville" in 2017. Lara has also participated in numerous artistic residencies and collective exhibitions, demonstrating a commitment to cultural and artistic initiatives.
