Raymond Danks

Raymond Danks is a Senior Machine Learning Scientist at PhycoWorks, where contributions focus on utilizing Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence in synthetic biology to enhance algae growth for environmental benefits. Prior to this role, Danks was a member of the LD17 Cohort at Entrepreneur First, participating in startup development and fundraising initiatives. Danks also served as a Research and Development Software Engineer at Holition, creating AI for augmented reality products and significantly optimizing neural network efficiency. An internship in hydraulic design at Rotary Power provided foundational experience in industrial hydraulics, while an early insight program with Deloitte offered exposure to various professional fields and public speaking skills. Educational achievements include a Master of Science in Robotics and Computation from UCL and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Newcastle University.
