Matthew Murphy

Matthew Murphy has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Matthew started their career as a Property Manager at Roland Realty from January 2003 to August 2009. Matthew then worked as a Production Specialist at Monsanto Company from April 2011 to December 2011 and as a Research Specialist at Pioneer Hi-Bred International, Inc. from April 2012 to December 2012. Matthew joined the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign as a Feed Mill Technician in September 2009 and worked there until April 2013. Matthew then joined The Maschhoffs, a swine production company, where they held multiple roles including Research Manager from May 2013 to October 2014, Production Manager from October 2014 to October 2015, Senior Production Manager from October 2015 to June 2017, Associate Director of Operations from June 2017 to January 2018, and Director of Operations from January 2018 to August 2020. Matthew continued their career in the swine industry as the Director of Supply Management & Operations at Acuity Swine from August 2020 to December 2020. Currently, Matthew is the Supply Chain Director at Pig Improvement Company (PIC) - North America, a position they have held since December 2020.

Matthew Murphy completed their education at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Matthew started their academic journey in 2002 and obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Sociology in 2009. Following this, they pursued further studies and received a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Technical Systems Management from the same university, completing their education in 2013.
