Deep Sengupta is an experienced chemist specializing in atmospheric sciences with a focus on the impact of airborne molecular contaminants in various applications. Currently serving as a Visiting Research Scholar and Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of California, Berkeley, Deep collaborates with experts across multiple disciplines to develop risk mitigation strategies for wildfires in California and is involved in sensor development for drone-based smoke sampling. Additionally, as a Senior Research Engineer at Picarro, Inc., Deep investigates the role of airborne molecular contaminants in semiconductor manufacturing. Previous experience includes a Ph.D. in Atmospheric Chemistry and Climatology from the University of Nevada, Reno, and roles as President of the Graduate Student Association and Graduate Teaching Assistant during that time. Deep also holds a Master’s degree in Geochemistry from the Indian Institute of Science.
