Vanessa Niekamp

Vanessa Niekamp serves as an elected Fiscal Officer for Violet Township since April 2020 and as the Executive Director of the Pickerington Food Pantry since November 2017. Niekamp is also the President of the Pickerington Local School District, a position held since January 2014. Previously, Niekamp was the Executive Director for the State of Ohio Board of Embalmers and Funeral Directors, where notable achievements included being elected President of the international Association of Executives of Funeral Service Boards. Niekamp's career includes roles such as HR/Labor Relations Administrator at the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services, Federal Grant Administrator at the Ohio Attorney General's Office, Controlling Board Secretary at the Ohio Office of Budget and Management, and various positions at the Ohio Department of Transportation. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Jazz Studies from Capital University, along with an Associate's degree in Human Resources Management from Columbus State Community College.
